Optio Underwriting Limited, the specialty MGA, today announced the appointment of Mark Kelsey as senior underwriter, political violence and terrorism, effective immediately. Based in London but with a global focus, Kelsey will report to Chris Kirby, head of political violence and terrorism.

Kelsey brings more than 10 years of industry experience to the role, the majority of which has been spent in crisis management, including kidnap and ransom and political violence and terrorism. Kelsey joins from Pioneer
